2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid SEL Premium:
Ugly Outside, Brilliant Inside

The new Palisade makes a statement in the parking lot. Whether that statement lands depends on who's looking. Inside, it's a different conversation entirely.

2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid SEL Premium

The new Palisade is not a subtle vehicle. From the parking lot it makes a statement, and depending on who's looking, that statement lands differently. Half the people stare. The other half look away.

And yet Hyundai keeps selling them — which tells you everything you need to know about how people actually make vehicle purchase decisions. They decide in the driveway on the way out. They justify it at the kitchen table over what they found when they opened the door.

The 2026 Palisade Hybrid SEL Premium has a very good inside.

The hybrid powertrain is the real story here — 329 combined horsepower, a seamless electric-to-combustion transition, and up to 34 mpg with a range north of 600 miles. The SEL Premium trim hits the right price-to-feature ratio in the lineup without making you pay for things you don't actually need.

I reviewed it for Medium. The full piece covers the powertrain, the interior, the honest negatives, and whether this is the right vehicle for the buyer actually considering it.
